packing, crating and shipping your order

We use only the most reliable and trustworthy crating and shipping services available for delivery of your TerraPiedra purchase. The price for each stone does not include packing, crating, insurance or transportation. Shipping and delivery costs will be based on location and method of transportation. If you have a shipping service that you prefer to use, by all means we will be very happy to coordinate with them so your Terra Piedra stone arrives in perfect condition.

Calculating Cost:  We do not profit from shipping. Should you charge Rush shipping, or if we're shipping your order either domestically or internationally, your shipping cost will be exactly the same as we are charged by whichever shipping company is used to deliver your purchase.    Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight, dimensions, insurance, customs and tariffs (where applicable), destination and method of  transport.  Upon choosing your Terra Piedra piece, Customer Care will contact you to provide the details, costs and options for delivering your purchase.

Museum Quality Crates – Terra Piedra uses the highest quality crating material available. Each crate is custom built on an individual basis, depending on the weight and configuration of the piece,  with absolute maximum protection in mind. Whether it is just a single piece or several items, these crates offer maximum protection. MDO plywood is used and the crates have full batons, handles, corners, skids, cam locks or bolt plates. Options include double crating or adding a travel frame which essentially crates the piece twice. The interior walls are constructed with water proofing protection. We carefully customize each crate to protect and insure the greatest amount of longevity for each item that we handle.

Delivery Time:  This depends on the size of the piece and how quickly you wish to receive your Terra Piedra stone. For example: A small stone for domestic (U.S.A.) delivery can be shipped via FedEx or UPS, 2nd Day or Overnight Delivery (better service). UPS or FedEx for shipping a small piece internationally is still recommended as the actual delivery time will be 4-6 days. The giant stones are better suited to freight forwarding services for domestic delivery, and for international transporting by cargo ship is recommended due to the weight of the pieces and the size of the crating that is required.
